CORRUPTION AND MONEY IS DISMANTLING THE FAMILY IN ISRAEL, ESPECIALLY THE FATHERS

Human rights and family lawyer Zvi Zer gives an overview of how the Israeli court system works. He explains, family, juvenile and supreme courts. He describes the lack of routes for individuals when all legal remedies are exhausted. Particuarly, he discusses the inequality in gender in treatment in court. It is almost impossible for lawyers to win if defending a client. November 2016. Advocate Zer founded the civil society – CCF Israel – Coalition for Children & Families, and wrote many reports to the UN. One of the most successful was in 2011. In 2011 following their first meeting in Geneva, a UN rapporteur did visit the country, and strongly recommended a change to the Tender Years Doctrine, which in Israel indicates that ALL children in divorce are handed to the mother, whether or not fit for pupose – aged 6 and under. Israel is the last country in the Western Democracies to abolish this law. It was still being discussed in 2017.
